生肉は体によいという証拠はどこにもありません。細菌、寄生虫がいることも。ジビエは特に注意を！！

「生肉は栄養がたくさん」「生肉には酵素が含まれている」「本来犬は生肉を食べているから」このような前時代的で科学的根拠のない考えにより、動物たちや一緒に過ごす人間、さらにはそれを診察、管理する動物病院のスタッフにさえリスクとなっていることが近年いくつも報告で上がってきています。動物に与える肉は加熱することが基本です。インターネット上の根拠のない情報に惑わされないようご注意ください。以下のように大量に論文が出ております。それでもあなたは、生食（ローフード）を与えますか？

Whole genome sequencing confirms source of pathogens associated with bacterial foodborne illness in pets fed raw pet food. （2019）
【内容】生肉を使ったペットフード、それを食べた犬猫（症状あり、なし）を検査したら、サルモネラとリステリアが検出された。ペットフードから感染している可能性が高いためリコールになった。人獣共通感染症のため、飼い主も検査する人も注意が必要。

Investigation of Listeria, Salmonella, and toxigenic Escherichia coli in various pet foods.（2014）
【内容】ペットフード（ドライ、セミモイスト、ローフード（生食）、ジャーキー）576サンプル（うちローフード196サンプル）を調査した結果、全体の8%でサルモネラ、16％リステリア(mono)に汚染されていた。そのすべてがローフードで、実にローフードの45%が何らかの細菌に汚染されている結果となっている。

Zoonotic bacteria and parasites found in raw meat-based diets for cats and dogs (2018)
【内容】35の冷凍生肉製品を調べた結果、23%でO157（大腸菌）,80%でESBL（大腸菌）,54%リステリア(mono),43%でリステリア（その他）,20%でサルモネラ,23％でサルコシスチス,6%でトキソプラズマを検出。

もし、どうしても生肉を与えたいのであれば、人用のもので、人が一般的に生で食べるものに留めて

人と動物の食べ物では、「品質」と「管理」が大きく異なります。人の食品は食品衛生法など細かい規定があり、それをクリアしないと人用に販売することができません。動物用の「生肉」は、品質だけでなく管理も価格に反映されており、人用よりも安いわけです。そのため、犬用で売られている生肉は基本的に人が食べることはできません（もちろんルール上も食べてはいけません）。もし、どうしても何かの理由で与えなければならないのであれば、ご自身が生で食べるものを与えて頂いたほうが、リスクを減らすことができます。間違っても鶏肉やブタ肉、ジビエ肉などを生で与えないことです。安心安全そして正しい知識で動物たちにお肉をあげたいですね。
